Meet Malik
A Quiet Eye for the Loudest Feelings
Your wedding day is a whirlwind of emotion quiet glances, joyful tears, belly laughs, and the kind of love that’s hard to put into words. That’s where I come in. I don’t stage moments or interrupt your flow. I quietly observe, letting the day unfold while capturing the heartbeat of it all.
I'm Malik Robinson, a filmmaker, storyteller, and the heart behind Nostalgia Ultra Weddings. Born and raised in Philadelphia, I’ve spent the last 15+ years behind the lens, with the past 6 years devoted to crafting wedding films that feel cinematic yet deeply personal.
Having documented over 150 weddings across the East Coast, I bring both experience and calm to a day filled with emotion. My background in film and TV (Temple University graduate) shapes every frame I shoot, blending documentary honesty with visual poetry.
Whether you're exchanging vows at an art museum, dancing barefoot on the beach, or laughing through a backyard ceremony my goal is the same: to capture your story with soul, style, and sincerity.
Let’s preserve the real the in-between, the unexpected, the unforgettable.
My approach...
My approach is simple: to capture your day as it truly unfolds—honestly, intimately, and without interruption. I believe the most powerful moments don’t need to be staged—they happen naturally. The way your partner reaches for your hand. The quiet nerves before the ceremony. The tearful hugs, the unfiltered joy, the chaotic bliss of the dance floor.
When I film a wedding, my goal is for you to be fully present—surrounded by your people, soaking in every moment—while I quietly document it all in a way that feels true to you. No stiff direction, no forced smiles. Just space to be yourselves, and a final film that brings you right back to the way it all felt.
This is Nostalgia Ultra Weddings—a space for couples who want more than just a wedding video. It’s for those who want a memory that feels like home: timeless, personal, and beautifully real.
Were a Good Match If....
You want a wedding film that feels real—not staged or overly produced.
You care more about how your day felt than how perfect it looked.
You love the beauty in raw, candid moments over posed ones.
You want to actually be present on your wedding day—not perform for the camera.
You value storytelling that’s emotional, intentional, and true to you.
At the heart of it, my job is to preserve your day as it unfolds—honestly, quietly, and with care. While I love getting creative when the moment calls for it, my focus is always on capturing what’s real. The result? A wedding film that doesn’t just look beautiful—it brings you right back to the feeling of it all.
